Wrinkly Peaches?

Spoiled rotten --> me

Spoiled rotten to the core --> me this weekend

Hi Mom,

I went for a massage and facial yesterday. After eating a sub-par sphaghetti and meatballs for dinner (which I couldn't even finish and I sort of felt terrible afterwards for overeating), I went to the National Library and read Michael Crichton's Congo. I think Tinkers would like it, but she still hasn't made any [sudden] movements to read even though I tell her all the time. She's bad like that.

I went home and talked to Tinkerbell about her fantastic interview with Yale! I am so proud of her, Mom!

What else? I stayed up until Dad tells me to go to sleep. Imagine, someone on the opposite side of the Earth telling me to go to sleep. What is wrong with this picture?

So on Sunday I was supposed to go cycling, but my friend is leaving for Australia soon, so we postponed the dinner part for sometime this week. She treated me last time, so I want to treat her!  Well, I worked on something that I'm writing and talked to a few friends today. I also ate a bunch of grapes. I don't know what happens when you eat a lot of red grapes (by the way, I prefer white grapes...future reference for you), but I'll let you know. For instance, if my skin turns slightly purple, I will let out a scream so loud that even you would be able to hear it. I also learned that when you leave white peaches in the refrigerator for too long. They get all wrinkly! How cute.

Hmmmm so then I watched Shark Tale and will maybe squeeze in a conversation with you on the phone in a little bit.

Much love,
M

Long and Short Weekend!

I finished Brisingr and was sorely disappointed! I thought it was the final book, but I was wrong!!!! I'm so upset! I bought that book for nothing. It took me forever and it cost me 30 bucks!!!!

Anyways, yeah so my weekend consisted of the book, a new Korean drama called 18 vs. 29. It's about this girl who has amnesia after getting into an accident. She wakes up thinking that she is 18 instead of 29 (and married). It's really cute! Of course, it gets drawn out at times. I think that I shall finish it sometime this week. Tonight I'll be working on a few projects - and tomorrow.

There were a lot of things that happened this past weekend, but yesterday I met Mink & Alvin and wandered around the City Hall area then Orchard - and then Geylang for Beef Hor Fun. OH GOODNESS YUM YUM!!!!!!!!

Tomorrow we're meeting at Clarke Quay for some nightlife after gymnastics. Tomorrow will be a lot of finishing up unpacking for the office! Our new office is so nice!! It used to be a law office, and you can totally tell! Anyways, we'll be here for the next two years, but yeah I have to write some food reviews on http://yum.sg.

Love, M

NINJA TURTLES > Godzilla

A big shout out to Bryan for picking me up again! I was a bit sad today after meeting one of my friends from Purdue because he reminds me of all my friends & family back home who I miss terribly. But Bryan and I had a great conversation that included ninja turtles, godzilla, bunnies, a snake, lots of turtles, butterflies, birds, and maybe some droppings!

I'm listening to David Archuleta's Crush. And going to read Brisingr until I feel a little bit more eye-droopiness.

Had dinner at Sakae Sushi with Wes, and lunch with Felix at Geylang for some AMAZING BEEF KWAY TEO (HOR FUN). I am going to try to eat there at least once every 2 weekends!!!!!! DELISH!!!!! (Geylang's Lor 9 Beef Kway Teo)

It may not look like much, but baby, if you ever come to Singapore, you will love it as much as me.

Love,
Sans

Weekend Treats!

Saturday morning I went off to the URA Gallery. Then we went off to buy a duffel bag at Peninsula Plaza, then to buy The Three Kingdoms (two volumes) at a second-hand bookstore for me and look at art supplies We might have stopped for ice cream along the way in ArtHouse (near the Asian Civilizations Museum)! Then we met up with the gang and went to see a Portuguese movie about police in Brazil. Very intense and violent movie. I think the guys liked it a lot, but I think the effect was more fun for Sunday's adventure. Afterwards we watched a soccer match. The taxi home didn't really know the area where I live, but we worked it out in the end. I was just so tired.

Sunday, I woke up later because I got home really late. Mommy called me...I was so tired :(. Anyways, then I got a text waking me up. HP and I met up in Bugis to go through Arab St and the surrounding area. Then we ran around looking for Arabic calligraphy (of an ostrich or a lion are the prints I want). So we ate REALLY good food at an Egyptian restaurant; I had been there before but not ordered anything except hummus. Then we walked all the way to the Malay Heritage Centre (and talked to an artist there drawing orchids with some sort of liquid gold. Very nice!!! And the tools were very unique...melted gold? Mixed with some sort of medium...or at least gold-colored liquid that spread like ink. I guess ink that had to be heated up...ok. I give up trying to determine what it is.

We pretended to be a SWAT team today. We even made a stop into Parkview, which they call "gothic" here, but I don't think it's gothic at all. It's ...I don't know what is the appropriate term. Let me see if I can find it online. ok no. so then what...

So enough about that. Then I went into National Library with the intention to read Mirror Mirror (Gregory Macguire, I think...the author of Wicked for those of you who do not know), but I think I fell asleep instead...but only for 20 minutes or so :(

Then we went off to City Hall (Raffles City) MRT Station, but we stopped into Raoul for a bit (to look at some office wear for me...but I didn't like the way any of the cuts fit me, so I didn't buy anything). Then watched some people eat at Bishan coffeeshop near the station (I was quiet I think because I was so tired today)...then went off to walk to Bishan Sports Hall. I will try other stores for cuts.

Played ping pong and badminton. Jumped on the trampoline. (fun!)

Home now...talked to Co Bay. :) Miss the family...very much.

now time to recharge the energizer bunny. toodles!
